Activists Convene In The Nation's Capital To Re-energize AIDS Advocacy
Over 120 energized AIDS activists from 25 states and the District of Columbia participated in an intensive two-day planning summit on January 4-5 to organize the Campaign to End AIDS (initially named the national and international March to End AIDS).
As a result of the summit, there are plans to organize two events:
An expanded super-sized AIDS Watch (co-sponsored with the National Association of People with AIDS) training and advocacy days in Washington, DC from May 2-5, 2005.
Five days of Action to End AIDS, with caravans of activists from around the country and participation from PWAs around the world convening in Washington, DC October 8-12, 2005 for an historic mobilization that will build political power for the AIDS movement for years to come.
