AIDS Activist Video Preservation Project

The AIDS Activist Video Preservation Project of the Estate Project for Artist with AIDS represents a collaborative effort with the New York Public Library.

The remastering of these videotapes is made possible with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a State Agency. Major support for this project was also provided by The Royal S. Marks Foundation Fund at Community Funds, Inc. The Estate Project is a program of the Alliance for the Arts.

The following is an accumulating list of DIVA TV weekly series AIDS Community Television (29:00 edited programs) and Hi8 camera-original video documentary footage archived for the AIDS Activist Video Preservation Project at the New York Public Library, Main Branch 42nd Street. For information on accessing these materials, contact the New York Public Library's research branch at 42nd and 5th Avenue in the Archives Division, e-mail: mssref@nypl.org.

It should be noted that this is a VERY partial list amidst a much broader [on-going archiving] collection of AIDS activist videos from numerous sources currently being collected and archived for the AIDS Activist Video Preservation Project. Aside from the complete [on-going] listing at the NYPL, we expect to have a more comprehensive listing of programs on this website shortly._
