ACT UP member Bob Rafsky confronts candidate Bill Clinton at a New York City fundraiser. Rafsky (quoting from Vito Russo): "We're not dying of AIDS as much as we are dying of 11 years of government neglect."

Two days later, April 4, candidate Clinton meets with members of ACT UP and other activists to discuss his AIDS policies and agrees to make a major AIDS policy speech, to have people with HIV speak to the Democratic Convention, and to sign onto the UAA's (United for AIDS Action) five point plan.
